Button mapping for XBox 360 controller

JoyToKey extended the support for XBox 360 controller since version 5.8, including the silver guide button.

Here is the JoyToKey button mapping for XBox 360 controller:

  • Stick 1 = left analog stick
  • Stick 2 = right analog stick
  • POV = dpad
  • Button 1 = A
  • Button 2 = B
  • Button 3 = X
  • Button 4 = Y
  • Button 5 = LB
  • Button 6 = RB
  • Button 7 = back
  • Button 8 = start
  • Button 9 = left analog stick center pushed in
  • Button 10 = right analog stick center pushed in
  • Button 11 = left trigger
  • Button 12 = right trigger
  • Button 13 = X silver guide button

Advanced: left/right triggers can be used as analog input, so if you want to distinguish the input level (e.g. weak trigger input v.s. full trigger input), please configure them as Axis 5. In order to configure Axis 5, go to “Options” tab and select “Show all axes (8 way + POV x4)” view. Then,

  • Axis 5 < corresponds to the right trigger
  • Axis 5 > corresponds to the left trigger
